It allows small investments of time or money, on the community level, to have visible and measurable results. We hope to introduce this style of charitable giving and community service in order to empower others to donate to a cause.

A native Floridian, Alexa graduated from Harvard in June '06, where she majored in Psychology Honors and wrote her senior thesis on happiness in The Kingdom of Bhutan. Enrolled to attend Harvard Business School in the Fall, Alexa is passionate about microfinance and looks forward to a day when L.W.A.L.A. can begin making micro-loans to African villages. |

A native Floridian, Danielle graduated from Vanderbilt in May ’07 with a double major in Psychology and Spanish. She spearheaded the Journey to Lwala project while interning at 85 Broads during the summer of 2006. She founded the LWALA campaign – Living With A Lifelong Ambition – while at Vanderbilt, and served as Executive Director of the Vanderbilt Lwala Benefit Gala in March 2007, which raised ~$30,000 and hosted over 500 Vanderbilt students. She is a jewelry designer for the Private Label, DanniJo Jewels, and will launch her e-commerce site www.dannijojewels.com in August 2007. Her jewelry as well as the signature DanniJo Lwala bracelet will be featured in the upcoming LWALA Benefit Fashion Show. |

A medical doctor by training, Brandon now focuses his efforts funding entrepreneurs in the medical device arena for the New York based Venture Capital firm WFDVentures. An avid reader and urban explorer, Brandon has an ultimate goal for the future of L.W.A.L.A: to create an easily iterative process so that the fund-raising activities and the L.W.A.L.A. message can spread across the globe and become a successful franchise for young humanitarians to emulate. |

A native Floridian, Kelly graduated from Southern Methodist University in June ’06 with a BA in advertising. From Dallas she moved east to New York where she worked as an account executive at a boutique marketing and consulting firm, MSCO. Kelly made a decision to pursue a career in real estate enabling her to combine her marketing skills and enthusiasm for working with people in a dynamic industry, like New York. Currently, Kelly is passionate about educating others who are capable of making an impact to the LWALA community and Africa as a whole. |

Born in Boston, Erica lived in Cairo, Rome, Athens and Norman, Oklahoma before graduating from Harvard in 2006 with a degree in Government & Economics. She works in fashion, and serves as a Y.E.S. member of Dress for Success and on the Executive Committee of Saving Second Base; she is interested in design, currencies, and elaborate theme parties. |

Anjali hails from Providence, Rhode Island and graduated from Harvard University in 2006 with a degree in Social Studies. Her thesis fieldwork in India and general study of international development in college fueled her desire to get involved with LWALA, owing to its commitment to making a positive contribution to the developing world. |

Originally from Jacksonville, Florida, Bronson attended the University of Colorado at Boulder where he received a BFA in Film Production. He now lives in New York City, where he works as a freelance cinematographer and editor. |
Annie graduated in May 2007 from Vanderbilt University, where she majored in Spanish and minored in Art History, and where she became involved with LWALA as the public relations chair of the 2nd Lwala Benefit Gala. A painter by hobby, Annie is excited about incorporating an art show into the Lwala events schedule, and to generally broadening the spectrum of creative outlets for Lwala's message. |

Liana M. Guzman graduated from Connecticut College with an honors degree in Psychology and International Studies. She is currently a Marketing Associate at Axiom and is the co-founder and Vice-President of Saving Second Base, an organization dedicated to raising awareness about, and funds for, breast cancer amongst young professionals. Liana has a longstanding interest in matters relating to Africa and is thrilled to be a part of LWALA. |

Tiffany has worked in architecture and design since graduating in 2006 from the University of Pennsylvania with an Honors Degree in Art History. While she is passionate about the visual world, she is also a firm believer that design has a profound impact on our lives and she is committed to collaborating with her peers to find tangible ways to try and make a difference. |

Kristian Laliberte was born June 19th, 1983, in Nahant, Massachussetts to Norman Laliberte, a noted contemporary artist and Laurel Laliberte, an architect and designer. Kristian attended Milton Academy and Columbia Univeristy, and studied for a year at Paris's prestigious Archives Nationales. He is involved in Tibetan Human Rights, having spent six months at the Tibetan refugee camp in Pokhara, Nepal after high school, and is dedicated to charities such as GMHC and Fountain House. Kristian currently is a partner in the men's clothing line, Unruly Heir, and runs marketing and consulting firm Heir Apparent. |
A native New Yorker, Bonnie Ryan graduated from Boston College Class of ’04 where she majored in Accounting. After time as an auditor with Deloitte & Touche, Bonnie is currently a commercial lender with Silicon Valley Bank focusing on entrepreneurial technology companies in the Tri-State area. Bonnie has often lent her financial background to volunteer and non-profit organizations from providing free tax preparation assistance in low income housing to launching and maintaining the post as treasurer for a local political action Committee and now as a board member of LWALA. |

Originally from Los Angeles California, Randy studied sociology and political science receiving undergraduate and advanced degrees from San Francisco State University, Oxford University and the New School for Social Research. He has lived in New York for the past six years working in graphic design and commercial media. He remains committed progressive social change. Think locally act globally. |
Originally from Maine, Jen graduated from Harvard in June '05, where she majored in Psychology with a focus on abnormal and social psychology. Her interest in international health crises began at college where she was involved in the Model United Nations program, educating high school students about international diplomacy. Jen now works in equity trading at an investment bank in New York City, but her passion for international aid continues through her work with L.W.A.L.A. |

A former Ford model and Designer for T.S. Dixon, Abigail grew up on Amelia Island, Florida. She launched her own collection, Lorick, in 2007; since then, her designs have appeared in various magazines and on the TV show Gossip Girl. She lives in New York City and enjoys bicycling and roof tops.
